Snapshots: September 2014

How quick is 2014 going? Patrick works in a job where Christmas has basically already begun, and we’re both already neck-deep in recipes and special content and plans for Christmas too – so it feels like it’s three quarters of the way through the year and that if we blink, it will be New Year’s Eve before we know it…

But before that happens, we just have to share some insider snaps of what the past month looked like for us. You know we ended August with a surprise trip to Brighton and then a major highlight of this month was our Manchester trip, which you can read about here for part one about Victoria Warehouse and here for part two on the city itself.

Now it’s October, the temperature has definitely dropped by a degree or two and we’re already spotting trees shedding their golden, crisp leaves, so we’re looking forward to hot chocolates on a Sunday morning on our cold balcony, stews and pies slow-cooking in the oven, sending warm smells throughout our flat, and lots of layering up and the return of scarves to our wardrobe. We’re also due to make a trip back home and we’re hopefully going to zip quickly up to Northern Ireland too! Let us know where in Dublin and Belfast we need to try in the comments pleeease!

Don’t forget to follow us on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook and we hope you’re enjoying the latest Songs of Proves post which will soundtrack this month for you. We have some amazing choices, so check them out while you cook throughout October…
