This month has been displaced, and at times really difficult. This post has been delayed as a result, but we are deliriously happy about June and all that came and went with it. The biggest change has been that we are now a .com domain – yey! But we have an even bigger change that we’re talking about at the bottom of this post…
After a surprise (though long-awaited and planned) trip back home at the beginning of the month for a long weekend, we then moved apartment. You know all about that already, so very little time was spent exploring new areas of London or whiling away weekends willy nilly; all of our spare time was spent packing, organising or lifting and carrying. We said goodbye (for now) to some of our favourite little haunts around Stratford, like Sawmill, The Counter, Hackney Pearl and Moka East.
We also had some really lovely hospitality from friends and family for a week in mid-June while we were technically homeless and in living limbo. When settled over the weekends that followed we then repaid them all with lots of dinners and drinks, like the beef papardelle, bruschetta and lemonade pictured below…
Keep up with us on Twitter and Facebook, and we’re right back into SoundCloud-ing this weekend again, so look out for that too.
Finally, we’re really excited to share the news that we are now the resident food columnists in Gay Times Magazine, opposite the wonderfully talented Edd Kimber, and you can catch us from now on every month in print and in digital.
Our first column talks about first dates, how we met and a recipe for the perfect first date dish. Go and support them as they have really supported us, and subscribe to the magazine. It’s available digitally from today and the print copies will be available in stores from next week!
