Iceland | The Blue Lagoon, A Bucket List Must!

We’re two very cynical people. Be they restaurants, bars, clubs, attractions, we’ll always take the hype with a pinch of salt. When you mention you’re visiting Iceland, the first thing so many people will ask is: “Are you going to The Blue Lagoon?”

A place that everyone and their mother visits isn’t normally imbedded in our itinerary, but we felt The Blue Lagoon was the exception, and we’d probably be refused boarding on the return flight if we hadn’t gone!

Eurovision 2017 | Top 10 [Updated Post-ESC]

You can’t escape it. Don’t fight it. Embrace it. You know when you entertain us pair we’ll find a way to slot Eurovision in some place and – yes – it’s that wonderful time of year again, Eurovision Song Contest 2017 – it’s go time!

We’ve spent months following all the updates, getting to know each of the songs and performers and brushing up on what’s happening ahead of Kyiv, Ukraine hosting ESC 2017. So much so that you don’t have to – so nice, right? We’re here to dish on our Eurovision 2017 top ten acts: these are the ones we expect to do extremely well, sail into the Eurovision final on 13th May 2017 and quite possibly even win!

Ever eaten inside a greenhouse? On a recent trip to Iceland we stopped by Friðheimar to witness their incredible tomato farm and eat a tomato-based lunch right inside the Atrium of their gigantic greenhouse, an hour’s drive from Reykjavík.

Whenever we search for hotels on our travels, we always want to find somewhere quirky and characterful.

Boutique hotels, designer hotels with just a touch of luxury and concept hotels are right up our street ’cause they make a trip to a destination all the more memorable. We love independently styled hotels and we really love ones that ooze unique character. We’re forever on the look out for beautiful spaces to rest our heads that’s a little out of the ordinary and which tempts us never to leave and after an overnight stay at the  Grand Central by Scandic in Stockholm, that’s exactly how we felt.
